Tom Brady is facing renewed scrutiny after being seen wearing a headset in the Raiders’ coaching booth last night during the Raiders loss to the Buccaneers. The former quarterback, now a minority owner of the team and FOX NFL broadcaster, appeared to be actively involved — reigniting questions about a possible conflict of interest. Dan understands why the NFL seems to be turning a blind eye, but it isn’t a good look for the league.
Dan Patrick: “On the surface, it doesn’t look good that (Tom Brady) is in there with a headset on next to the Offensive Coordinator. And the fact that they’re blatant! They didn’t hide it. You know, Tom’s not in the corner, he’s not wearing sunglasses and a hat, a hoodie. But it’s just not a good look…The NFL kind of scoots along and says, ‘Yeah, we’ll take a little bit of a hit here, little PR hit, but that’s OK, we still want Tom there.’ And I understand that. It just, it feels wrong!”
